Prayer is More Than Just Words

Prayer is more than just words; it is a powerful connection to the heart of God. It instills in us a desire to see God's Kingdom come and His will be done in all things. In John 17 Jesus is praying fervently for His disciples. His prayer reveals the depth of intercession, the hope of sanctification, and the importance of unity among believers.

Jesus' intercession for His disciples shows us the power of praying for others. Just as He stood in the gap for His followers, we too are called to pray for one another with a heart full of love and compassion. Through prayer, we partner with God in bringing about His will on earth.

Jesus asks the Father to sanctify His disciples by the truth. Prayer is a vital part of our sanctification, as it draws us closer to God and aligns our hearts with His Word. As we pray, we are transformed, becoming more like Christ in holiness.

Jesus prays for the unity of all believers, understanding that unity is a powerful testimony to the world. When we pray together, we are united in purpose and strengthened as a body of Christ. Though we may lovingly disagree about matters of this world, we are unified in eternal matters!

Today, will you commit to a life of prayer? Take time today to seek the Lord in all things. Pray First!
