Support Appalachia reach Out
Our hearts are heavy as we witness the devastating flooding in Kentucky and West Virginia. Many homes, churches, and communities have been severely impacted, leaving families without shelter, resources, and hope.
One of our Nazarene partners, Appalachia Reach Out (ARO), is already on the ground bringing relief to Martin County, Perry County, and Eastern Kentucky. This is the same ministry we will be partnering with again this summer to serve in person.
For example, A small church in Eastern Kentucky, now nearly submerged in floodwaters, once stood as a refuge for those in need. Now, the very people who used to serve meals to the hungry and offer shelter to the weary are the ones in desperate need of help. Yet, their faith remains unshaken, believing that God will provide through the hands and feet of His people—through us.
Here’s how we can respond:
🙏 Pray:
For families who have lost homes, belongings, and livelihoods.
For local churches to be beacons of hope and tangible aid.
For the teams, including ARO, working tirelessly to provide relief.
💙 Give:
You can donate directly to ARO’s disaster relief efforts through their website or through their Facebook page.
🛠️ Go:
Later this year, you will have the opportunity to serve with ARO on the ground. Stay tuned for more details on how you can be part of that mission.
Let’s be the hands and feet of Jesus together. If you feel led to give, even a small amount can make a difference. Thank you for being a church that sees and responds to the needs of others.
